Apprenticeship Focus: Meet Harry Fowler from our Wirral Branch

Jackson Fire & Security are pleased to introduce our apprentice engineer Harry Fowler. Our steady growth throughout the Wirral region has led the need to expand the team through apprenticeships and we were keen to channel some of the young talent in the local area.

Harry, from the Wirral region, is currently on a 3-year apprenticeship with North West Training Council to complete his fire, emergency and security systems technician course.

He has already hit the ground running having gained his BAFE SP101 fire extinguisher technician diploma. He is now helping the local Wirral branch to service fire extinguishers for business customers across the region.

Harry has been fundamental in supporting the branch to deliver fire extinguisher contracts with large public sector organisations such as Wirral Council, servicing two hundred sites including municipal and area offices, schools, leisure centres and depots. Harry started his apprenticeship in October 2020 and is due to complete in June 2023. Since starting with Jackson Fire & Security, he has also completed his emergency lighting qualification and the fire alarm fundamentals training course in addition to the requirements of his apprenticeship.

He has explained how working with Jackson Fire & Security on the practical elements has really boosted his learning:

“Every day is different and it’s great spending time with such a knowledgeable group of engineers and learning the process for fire and security pre-planned maintenance and corrective call-outs.

“Harry is getting on great, he is a really good learner and often comes top of the class in our recap sessions. We are now close to completing the fire alarm module.”
